IMPACT Currently, the Gerald McCoy’s Patricia Diane Foundation serves low-income single parents and their children throughout the McCoy Family’s communities throughout Tampa Bay, Dallas, Oklahoma, and Las Vegas.	NEED Approximately 26% of children in the U.S. are being raised in single-parent households. In Florida alone, 79% of households headed by single mothers face ongoing poverty.	WHY? Gerald’s mother (Patricia Diane McCoy) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while Gerald was a freshman at the University of Oklahoma. Gerald knows first-hand what it is like to live with just one parent.
